
The 2025 Asia Cup group stage has come to an end on Friday (September 19). Here are the latest ICC men's T20I team rankings after the initial phase of the tournament.
After 12 matches from September 9 to 19, the Asia Cup 2025 group stage came to an end, and the line-up for the next stage – the Super Four – has been decided. India and Sri Lanka, having topped their respective Groups A and B with three wins each, are the first teams to qualify.
They are joined by Pakistan from Group A and Bangladesh from Group B, the two remaining sides that make up the Super Fours line-up.
The Super Four stage will be played between September 20 and 26, with the four teams playing each other once. The top two sides will then advance to the final on September 28.
India faced Oman in the last group match on Friday, winning by 21 runs. Batting first, they made 188-8, with Sanju Samson (56 off 45) top-scoring. Oman, in response, finished on 167-4, with Aamir Kaleem (64 off 46) and Hammad Mirza (51 off 33) hitting fifties.

ICC men's T20I team rankings after Asia Cup group stage
India remain the top-ranked team in the ICC T20I rankings with a rating of 271. No other side from the Asia Cup is in the top five, with the next best being Sri Lanka at seventh with a rating of 233, just ahead of Pakistan.
Afghanistan, who faced a group-stage elimination, are the lowest-ranked side (10th) among the Asia Cup's Full Member participants. Bangladesh, at ninth, lead them by just a single rating point.
