India beat Pakistan in Dubai
India restricted Pakistan to 127-9 after Salman Ali Agha won the toss and opted to bat. Hardik Pandya (1-34) struck with his first ball and Jasprit Bumrah (2-28) with his second, but Sahibzada Farhan (40 in 44 balls) hit Bumrah for two sixes inside the powerplay to take Pakistan to 42-2 after six overs.
Thereafter, the Pakistan batters lost their way against the Indian spinners, Varun Chakravarthy (1-24), Kuldeep Yadav (3-18), and Axar Patel (2-18), who combined for figures of 12-0-60-6.
At 83-7, it seemed Pakistan may not make it to three figures, but Shaheen Shah Afridi hit four sixes in a T20I career-best of 16-ball 33 not out to take them to 127-9, while Sufiyan Muqeem hit 10 in six balls. After ambling to 99-8 in 18 overs, Pakistan added 28 in the last two.

Abhishek Sharma (31 in 13 balls) came out all guns blazing in response: Shaheen was not recalled after conceding 23 in two overs. Opening bowling at the other end, Saim Ayub accounted for both Shubman Gill (10 in seven) and Abhishek, but by then India had raced to 41 inside four overs.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav (47 not out in 37 balls) then added 56 with Tilak Varma (31 in 31) to all but seal the game. Surya, who turned 35 on the day of the match, finished the game with a six to finish the game.
Kuldeep was named the Player of the Match.
