The Pakistan trio of Maaz Sadaqat, Shadab Khan and Sufyan Moqim starred for their respective sides in the Caribbean Premier League 2026 playoffs.

Shadab Khan, Sufyan Moqim steer Falcons to first CPL final

Shadab Khan and Sufyan Moqim registered respective four-wicket hauls for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 1 of the ongoing CPL season. Shadab conceded 16 for his four wickets, including a hat-trick, while Moqim gave away 13 off his four.

Joshua James took the first wicket for the Falcons before Shadab and Moqim took over. The latter sent back Glenn Phillips and Mohammad Haris in the eighth over to reduce Warriors to 42-3. Shadab then picked up a hat-trick in the next over, his second career hat-trick, dismissing Shimron Hetmyer, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Quentin Sampson off consecutive deliveries.

Hetmyer went for a big heave down the ground, only to be caught at long-off. Mehidy and Sampson were both unable to read the googly, with the former getting trapped in front while the latter played the wrong line to have his stumps shattered. Warriors went fro 42-3 to 45-6 in no time.

Moqim maintained the pressure, sending back back Khary Pierre and Shai Hope in the next over and further reduce the Warriors to 49-8, which soon became 48-9 when Shadab bagged his fourth to send back Imran Tahir. The last-wicket partnership between Romario Shepherd (14*) and Shamar Joseph (7) eventually got them to 76.

In a match-defining collapse, the Warriors lost eight wickets in a span of nine runs, slipping from 40-1 to 49-9, with the Pakistan duo wreaking havoc in Bridgetown.

The Falcons rode on Rahkeem Cornwall’s 16-ball 49 to chase down 77 in 5.2 overs, booking a berth in the CPL final for the first time.

Maaz Sadaqat stars for Jamaica Kingsmen with maiden T20 ton

Earlier in the playoffs, Barbados Tridents were kept down to 144-6 in the first innings of their Eliminator against Jamaica Kingsmen. In reply, Sadaqat registered a 49-ball 112 to help his side complete the chase in just 14.1 overs.

The Pakistan opener started with taking 12 off the first over of the chase. He kept finding boundaries consistently to race to 41 off 20 before taking down Allah Ghazanfar with three consecutive sixes in the fifth over, the second of which helped him complete a 22-ball fifty.

With the target well within reach, the 21-year-old continued his onslaught to breach the three-figure mark off 44 balls in the 12th over. He was finally dismissed by Sams for a match-winning 112 off 49 balls.

Jamaica Kingsmen will now lock horns with Guyana Amazon Warriors in the second qualifier two, with the winner taking on Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the final.
