County Championship 2026 Division 1: Round two results
Somerset rode on an all-round showing from Craig Overton to hammer Essex by 10 wickets, while Sussex made it two in two with a five-wicket win over Warwickshire. Kyle Abbott’s six-for drove Hampshire to a comprehensive 214-run win over Yorkshire, who are now bottom of the table.
Surrey and Leicestershire batted big in their respective first innings at the Oval as the match finished in a draw, the only one of the round. Nottinghamshire, meanwhile, jumped to the second spot with a 192-run victory over Glamorgan.

County Championship 2026 Division 2: Round two results
Worcestershire registered their first win of the season, over Middlesex, after a draw with Derbyshire to start their campaign. Durham beat Gloucestershire, who are bottom of the table after being handed a two-point deduction for slow over-rate against Middlesex in their season opener.
Northamptonshire saw their top four hit a hundred each against Kent, who were made to follow on but managed a draw after a strong second-innings showing. Lancashire beat Derbyshire in a thriller at Old Trafford, with James Anderson taking a four-wicket haul in a successful defence of 138 runs.
