The semifinals of the 2025 Duleep Trophy began on Thursday (September 4). Follow all the live updates from the two matches here.
Duleep Trophy 2025: Which teams are playing the semifinals?
The two semifinals of the tournament are West Zone vs Central Zone and South Zone vs North Zone. Since this is a six-team tournament, two sides – South and West – were given byes to the semifinals, while the other four teams contested the quarterfinals last week.
In quarterfinal one, North Zone drew with East Zone, qualifying for the next round on the basis of their 175-run first innings lead. In the second match, Central Zone also drew with North East Zone and qualified after taking a 347-run first innings lead. The star performers of the round came mostly from the two teams that qualified, and included double-centurions, a hat-trick hero and a first-class world record – read the full quarterfinals round-up here.

They take a 162-run lead, and narrowly miss a record for the highest first-class total on Indian soil to not contain an individual century.
That remains with Madhya Pradesh, who made 605-9 against Haryana in Rajnandgaon in 1998-99, with a high score of 90 in the innings.
