'You don't tell us what to do' - Gautam Gambhir reportedly involved in heated spat with Oval curator

Gautam Gambhir fight with curator

Two days ahead of the start of the fifth Test against England, India head coach Gautam Gambhir was reportedly involved in a heated argument with The Oval curator Lee Fortis.

On Tuesday (July 29) morning (UK time), multiple videos captured by journalists at the venue showed Gambhir having a heated argument with Fortis during India's training session at the Oval.

While it's still unclear what the argument was about, Gambhir was seen pointing a finger at Fortis and saying "You can't tell us what to do". He kept repeating the same, even saying at one point: "you're just a groundsman, stay in your capacity".

Sitanshu Kotak, India's batting coach, stood next to Fortis and had a long discussion, even as the players continued training.

It reached a point where Kotak, as well as Ryan ten Doeschate –India's assistant coach – were seen pacifying Fortis. At one point, Fortis is heard saying that he will report Gambhir.
