
Ben Stokes has entered the top three of ICC's Test all-rounder rankings following their latest update on July 30.
Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar gain in latest ICC Test rankings
A stellar all-round outing at Old Trafford has seen England captain enter the top three of ICC Test all-rounder rankings for the first time since December 2022. Stokes made a hundred and took a five-wicket haul in the fourth match of the series vs India, following which he has jumped up three spots to No.3. Stokes has also moved up eight slots from 42nd to 34th among batters and three slots from 45th to 42nd among bowlers.
India's all-round pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar have also made significant gains. Both left-handed batters scored match-saving hundreds in the second innings and took four and two wickets with the ball respectively.
Jadeja, who was already the top-ranked all-rounder in the format, has increased his lead over second-placed Mehidy Hasan to a whopping 117 points, having gained 13 points following the Manchester game. In the batting and bowling rankings, he has gained five and one spots to 29th and 14th respectively.
Sundar, on the other hand, has jumped up eight spots each in the all-rounder and batting rankings to joint-13th and 65th respectively. Among bowlers, he remains at the 46th position.
Latest ICC Test batting rankings
England opener Ben Duckett has improved five spots to enter the top 10 after his 94 at Old Trafford while India captain Shubman Gill, meanwhile, holds his No.9 spot following his second-innings century. Yashasvi Jaiswal, meanwhile, has dropped three places to No.8 following scores of 58 and 0 in the fourth Test. There has been no other movement in the top four.

The top 10 has seen no movement in the bowling rankings. In fact, Jadeja's move from 15th to 14th is the only change among the top 20 bowlers.

Stokes' three-spot jump has pushed Wiaan Mulder, Pat Cummins, and Marco Jansen down by one spot each. Chris Woakes has dropped three places from 13th to 16th, while Sundar shares the 13th spot with New Zealand's Matt Henry.
