New India Test captain Shubman Gill will attend a press conference on Thursday (June 5) ahead of the team's departure for England. Follow all the live updates here.
Gill was appointed India's 37th men's Test captain two weeks ago, as the squad was announced for the five-Test series against England which begins on June 20.
He takes over from Rohit Sharma, who retired from the format in May before Rohit's predecessor in the role, Virat Kohli, also did so. Gill has also been widely tipped to take Kohli's spot at No.4 in the batting order.
India named an 18-player squad for the England tour, which will be leaving today. Six of them turned out for India A in the first warm-up match against England Lions at Canterbury. Batter Karun Nair stole the show with a double hundred which may have pushed him closer to a first Test appearance in over seven years.

Gill is set to attend a press conference at 7:30pm IST on June 5, alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir. Neither of them was present at the squad announcement – that was attended by selection panel members Ajit Agarkar and Shiv Sunder Das.

Gambhir: Karun Nair's success is great for domestic cricket
"Just great for the future of domestic cricket. If you do well, doors are never shut for you.
"It's always good to have players on these tours who have experience.
"If someone has scored loads of runs, they will get a good chance."
Gill: I am looking to lead with actions
"Averages and numbers are not something I look at, but I definitely want to lead through my performance with the bat."
Gambhir: I am always under pressure as India coach
"Being the coach, you always want results for the country. You (media) probably think I'm under more pressure, less pressure depending on results but I am always under the exact same pressure."
Gill: Making players secure is important for me
India's new captain outlines his emphasis on understanding players and making them feel comfortable, in order to get the best out of them.
'We will decide the batting order there'
On his batting position, Gill confirms there are no decisions made yet.
"We still have some time, we have the intra-squad match and a ten day camp in London. We will decide the batting order once we go there."

Gill on Kohli and Rohit's retirements: "It is tough to fill their place, but there is no different pressure as such."
