Updated WTC points table

The fifth Test between England and India finished with the visitors scripting a famous six-run win at The Oval to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2: here's how the 2025-2027 World Test Championship points table looks like after the end of an epic series.

Set 374 to chase at a ground where the previous highest run-chase was 263, England nearly pulled off a heist, getting to 367 but eventually falling short thanks to a spirited effort by Mohammed Siraj (5-104).

Joe Root (105) and Harry Brook (111) starred for England with twin tons in the chase after India were threatening to burst through the middle order in the morning session on day four. This was after a strong comeback with the bat in the second innings by India, who overcame a 23-run deficit to score 396 on the back of Yashasvi Jaiswal's 118, and fifties from Akash Deep (66), Ravindra Jadeja (53), and Washington Sundar (53).

Earlier in the game, India were bowled out for 224 with Karun Nair top-scoring with 57 and Gus Atkinson picking 5-33. The visitors then pulled things back with the ball after England were 129-1, to restrict them to 247.

With the victory at The Oval, India levelled the series 2-2, having won the Edgbaston Test and lost the first and third Test at Headingley and Lord's respectively.
