India’s tour of England gets underway on July 1, Wednesday, as they are scheduled to play five T20Is and three ODIs. The tour is set to commence with T20Is, and the first game is set to take place at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
The two teams last faced each other in the blockbuster semifinal of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India held their nerve in the high-scoring clash and eventually lifted the trophy, beating New Zealand in the final.
While this is the first series for England since the World Cup, India are coming off a shocking 0-2 series loss at the hands of Ireland last week. Shreyas Iyer and his men will be keen on putting this loss behind and performing to their potential against England.

The series between England and India will get underway on Wednesday, July 1 and then the two teams will move to Old Trafford in Manchester for the second T20I on July 4. Nottingham, Bristol and Southampton will host the last three T20Is of the series.
The timings during the T20I series are different for several matches. The first, third and fourth T20Is will start at 5:30pm local time (10pm IST), while the second and fifth T20Is of the series will start at 2:30pm local time (7pm IST).
