England lost the final ODI of their international summer to concede a 2-1 series loss to India. Here are player ratings for the side for their last assignment before the 50-over World Cup.
Tammy Beaumont - 3
3 matches, 41 runs at 13.66, HS: 34
A disappointing series for England's long-time ODI opener. She reached double figures in only one of her three innings she played, pinned lbw playing across the line in the first two and clean bowled by Kranti Gaud in Durham.
Amy Jones - 5
3 matches, 51 runs at 25.50, HS: 46*
Continuing her re-invention as an ODI opener against West Indies, Jones played a guiding role in a straightforward chase at Lord's, and was dismissed by a good ball in Southampton and a fantastic catch in Durham. While her returns don't strand out, those dismissals are taken into consideration in her rating.
Emma Lamb - 6.5
3 matches, 107 runs at 53.50, HS: 68
Lamb played two important knocks which book-ended the series. Her 39 in Southampton steadied the innings after the loss of both openers, and gave England the breathing room they needed to push on to a total they got close to defending. Similarly in the chase in Durham, her partnership with Nat Sciver-Brunt brought England back in the game having looked almost out of it.
Nat Sciver-Brunt - 6
3 matches, 160 runs at 53.33, HS: 98
Another challenging series for Sciver-Brunt as captain, marshalling a side with plenty of questions to answer before the World Cup later this year. Her innings in Durham was the stand-out from a personal point of view. She fell two runs short of what would have been a 10th ODI century, but it was a typical Sciver-Brunt innings almost rescuing England from the depths.
Sophia Dunkley - 8
3 matches, 126 runs at 63.00, HS: 83
Dunkley continues to be the standout batter of the international summer. Building on her T20I series and performance against West Indies, her 83 in Southampton struck the right balance between facilitating the rebuild and attempting to advance the run rate, and before she was run out in Durham she was looking dangerous to take England to where they needed to be in the chase.
Alice Davidson-Richards - 5
2 matches, 97 runs at 48.50, HS: 53
An odd series for Davidson-Richards. Not called-upon to bowl, she was in the side as a specialist No.6 in the two games she played. While she struck a half-century in Southampton, she looked short of the multiple requirements of the role, and her dismissal was poor – giving up on the attempt to ground her bat before a stumping. With Sciver-Brunt unable to bowl, selecting an all-rounder they were either unable or unwilling to call on with the ball feels unsustainable long term.
Em Arlott - 7
1 match, 2 wickets at 13.00, ER: 4.33, BBI: 2-26
Arlott played in the only win of the series at Lord's, and bowled Pratika Rawal with her fourth ball of the game.
Sophie Ecclestone - 9
3 matches, 5 wickets at 17.80, ER: 3.42, BBI: 3-27
24 runs at 24.00, HS: 23*
Ecclestone was the standout England bowler of the series, back in the ODI side for the first time this summer. Bowling on some tricky surfaces, she re-established herself as England's leading spinner, and often bowled the majority of her overs early in the game as the main strike bowler.
Charlie Dean - 6.5
3 matches, 4 wickets at 38.00, ER: 5.84, BBI: 2-52
Preferred over Linsey Smith as the second spinner in the side, Dean bowled well in phases, but was slightly expensive albeit in some tough situations. England's spin attack was put under the spotlight by India's, who were more effective bowling at slower paces.
Linsey Smith - 5
2 matches, 3 wickets at 34.00, ER: 6.80, BBI: 2-28
Smith took the key wicket of Smriti Mandhana at Lord's, as England's spin-attack broke through India's batting line-up after the rain delay. She endured a difficult outing in Durham, however, going at 7.4 an over as Harmanpreet Kaur and Harleen Deol put on a big partnership.
Lauren Filer - 4
2 matches, 2 wickets at 58.00, ER: 6.10, BBI: 1-52
A passable series for Filer, in a series where England's seamers struggled.
Lauren Bell - 3
3 matches, 2 wickets at 75.50, ER: 6.56, BBI: 1-40
Bell found the conditions the most challenging of England's seamers, bowling in the powerplay to a powerful India batting lineup.
Kate Cross - 2
1 match, 0 wickets, ER: 6.43, BBI: 0-60
England's senior seamer only found space for one ODI, with three spinners preferred as a balance twice and Sciver-Brunt's injury limiting space in the bowling attack. She didn't take a wicket on a big runs surface at Chester-le-Street.
Maia Bouchier
1 match, did not bat
Bouchier played at Lord's but wasn't required to bat.
