The inaugural auctions for the men's and women's Hundred took place in London this week, with players bought for record sums in the competition's history.
The auction for the women's competition took place first, with teams already having signed up to four players before the gavel was raised. Salaries quickly ballooned for the most sought after players, with former New Zealand captain Sophie Devine and Australia wicketkeeper Beth Mooney each fetching £210,000.
In the men's auction, it was uncapped English all-rounder James Coles who was bought for the highest amount (£390,000). No overseas player in the men's auction quite reached the heights of Mooney and Devine's bids, with Aiden Markram the highest paid overseas men's player bought in the auction.
