ICC men's T20I team rankings: Updated table after T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eights

England, South Africa, New Zealand and India booked their spots in the semi-finals after finishing in the top two of their respective Super Eight groups. The Proteas are so far the only team to have an unblemished record entering the last four, while the other three sides have lost at least one game in the tournament. New Zealand have lost two and had their Super Eight game against Pakistan washed out.

South Africa beat New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE and Canada in the group stage, before getting the better of India, West Indies and Zimbabwe in the Super Eight. They are, however, currently the lowest-ranked team among the semi-finalists, at fifth, with a rating of 245 compared to their last-four opponents New Zealand’s 250, who are fourth.

India and England, meanwhile, occupy the top two spots, respectively, in the men’s T20I team rankings. As it stands, India are at 272, while the latter are at 260 - a 12-point difference. Australia are the highest-ranked team at third to have not made the semi-finals. In fact, they were also the best-placed team not qualify for the Super Eights.

Pakistan, knocked out of the tournament after failing to improve their net run rate enough in the Sri Lanka win, are sixth, followed by West Indies in seventh. T20 World Cup co-hosts Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, who were replaced by Scotland in the tournament, and Afghanistan, eliminated after the group stage, complete the top ten.
