Pakistan and Namibia will face off in the all-important Group A clash at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on February 18, 2026. The match will begin at 3pm local time, while the toss will take place at 2.30pm.
Seven teams have already qualified for the Super Eights, making Pakistan versus Namibia the only remaining “live” game of the league stage.
India have already made it to the Super Eights, while the USA (NRR +0.788) and Pakistan (-0.403) are tied on four points. A win, or even a washout, will see Pakistan through. However, if Namibia do win, Pakistan will be eliminated, while the USA will qualify.
Pakistan beat Namibia by 45 runs the only time they met in a T20I, in the 2021 T20 World Cup at Abu Dhabi.
T20 World Cup 2026, weather forecast for Pakistan vs Namibia
AccuWeather predicts thunderstorms at 2 pm. There is a 49 per cent chance of rain until 3pm (the scheduled start of the match), but that drops to 24 per cent by 4pm.
BBC Weather’s prediction is gloomier: the probability of rain rises from 59 per cent at 2.30pm to 62 per cent at 3.30pm, and does not drop below 40 per cent until well past the playing hours.
