The 2026 men's T20 World Cup final will be preceded by the tournament closing ceremony. Here are all the details, including timing and where to watch live.
When is the T20 World Cup opening ceremony?
The T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand will begin at 7pm local time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with the toss scheduled for 6:30pm.
The tournament closing ceremony will begin an hour before that, at 5:30pm. Fans will be allowed into the ground from 3:30pm.
Who will perform at the ceremony?
International pop star Ricky Martin is the headline act at the closing ceremony. Also known as the "King of Latin Pop", his 1999 album Ricky Martin was a breakout, with the lead single Livin' la Vida Loca topping the charts in more than 20 countries. A year prior, Martin had released La Copa de la Vida for his album Vuelve, following a request from FIFA to create an anthem for the 1998 football World Cup.
On Saturday (March 7), the ICC announced that supporting acts at the ceremony would come from Indian artists Sukhbir and Falguni Pathak. Apart from his work as an independent artist, Sukhbir has been involved in the soundtracks of five Bollywood films. Also involved in the film industry, Pathak's musical career has been influenced by the music of Gujarat, where the final will take place.
