The ICC have named their list of umpires and match officials for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The ICC name 24 umpires, six referees at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
The ICC named 24 umpires and six match referees for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The officials have been allotted their respective games in the league stage. The officials for the Super Eights, the semi-final, and the final will be announced later, presumably when it is clear which teams qualify. The ICC appoints neutral officials for each game.

Kumar Dharmasena and tournament debutant Wayne Knights officiated in the 2026 T20 World Cup tournament opener, between Pakistan and the Netherlands at the SSC in Colombo, while Richie Richardson as match referee.
Later in the day, Nitin Menon and Sam Nogajski stood in the West Indies-Scotland game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker were the umpires at India versus USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The match referees were, in that order, Javagal Srinath and Andy Pycroft.
Among umpires in the current edition, Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza (87) has officiated in most T20Is, followed by Zimbabwe’s Langton Rusere (83). At the Men’s T20 World Cup, however, the list is headed by Tucker (45) and Dharmasena (36).
