ICC have replaced Bangladesh with Scotland for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Here is the updated schedule for the tournament, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh were removed from the World Cup altogether after they refused to travel to India for the event, citing security reasons. The decision came after weeks of negotiation between the BCB and ICC, who confirmed on Saturday (January 24) that Scotland had been called-up to replace Bangladesh.

Scotland take Bangladesh’s spot in Group C of the tournament, joining England, Italy, Nepal and the West Indies. Scotland, who last played a T20I in July 2025, which they lost by a wicket to Jersey, will begin their campaign against the West Indies on February 7 in Kolkata.

Twenty teams have been divided into four groups of five each, with the top two sides from each group qualifying for the Super Eights. The top-two placed teams from each Super Eights group will then move to the semifinals.
