India and Pakistan will clash in their respective last games of the Super Sixes of the 2026 ICC men’s Under-19 World Cup on February 1. Here is all you need to know about the broadcast details and the net run rate requirements both teams have.
India vs Pakistan: What do the teams need to qualify for 2026 U19 World Cup semi-finals?
India and Pakistan are clashing in Match 36 of the 2026 U19 World Cup – a Super Sixes clash in Bulawayo. This is a virtual quarter-final but also not quite: while a win will help India qualify for the top four, Pakistan’s win has to be by a massive margin.
India have six points and a net run rate of +3.337, while Pakistan are on four and +1.484. To surpass India, thus, Pakistan have to win by a big margin. As it happens in these cases, the more Pakistan score (or the fewer they restrict India to), the easier it will be for them.
For example, if India score 150, Pakistan will have to chase the target in 29.2 overs. However, if India put up 350, Pakistan will get only 36.3 overs to win. On the other hand, if Pakistan score 150, they have to restrict India to 52, but if they get 350, they will qualify if India score 269.
England (six points, NRR +1.989) are in the mix as they set out to play their last game, against New Zealand. A win will see England through, but if they lose, there is a chance of them getting eliminated. You can find the full NRR scenarios piece here.
The updated net run rate scenarios after the first innings of the India-Pakistan match will be added here.
