Grace Harris

Grace Harris has been ruled out of the 2025 Women’s World Cup, set to begin on September 30, 2025.

Grace Harris out of World Cup

Australia had included Harris in their squad for the three ODIs in India as well as the World Cup. She missed the first two games before being picked for the third, in Delhi, for the injured Annabel Sutherland. Phoebe Litchfield and Darcie Brown also missed the ODI due to injuries.

There, she made a solitary run out of Australia’s 412. As India joined in the run-fest as well, Harris had 1-20 from her two overs – but that wicket was of Smriti Mandhana, who had hammered the fastest ODI hundred by an Indian en route to a 63-ball 125.

Harris soon left the ground with an injured calf that has now ruled her out of the World Cup. Australia have named Heather Graham as her replacement. Harris will return home to rehabilitate and regain fitness ahead of the WBBL, which starts on November 9.

It is worth a mention that despite being a much-feared T20 batter, Harris is not an ODI regular in a star-studded Australian side. The Delhi game was her only ODI since March 2024.

That Harris batted only seven times and bowled only 67 overs across her 12 ODIs is a testimony to Australia’s strength. Her 12 wickets have come at 20.33 apiece, while she has made only 16 runs. Graham, on the other hand, had 8-0-29-1 and scored four not out in her only ODI, against Sri Lanka at Brisbane in 2019/20.
