Australia beat Pakistan by 107 runs in Colombo on Wednesday (October 8). Here's what the result has done to the Women's World Cup points table.
Australia survive Pakistan scare in Colombo
Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana won the toss and elected to field first. After a sedate start, the seven-time champions lost openers Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield in consecutive overs. Pakistan's spinners then took charge, triggering an almighty middle-order collapse. No.4 Beth Mooney stood firm, but Australia lost Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, Ash Gardner, Tahlia McGrath and Georgia Wareham for single-digit scores as the reigning Champions slipped to 76-7 and 115-8.
But support came from Kim Garth, who made 11 off 47 balls, and Alana King (51* off 49). Mooney went on to make 109, her fifth ODI century, and lift Australia to 221-9. Nashra Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers, with 3-37.

Pakistan were in with a chance, but not for long. Five of their top six were dismissed for less than 10, as only Sidra Amin (35) crossed that mark. Without the lower-order firepower that Australia had, their innings rather petered out, and they were bowled out for 114, with Australia's victory margin 107 runs.
The win has lifted Australia to the top of the standings, but they have played one game more than England and India, who sit in second and third respectively. Pakistan remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
