What's the format and schedule of ILT20?
The fourth season of ILT20 begins on December 2, with 30 league matches scheduled until December 28 between the six teams: Dubai Capitals, Desert Vipers, Sharjah Warriors, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Gulf Giants and MI Emirates. The playoffs follow thereafter.
In an IPL-style format, the top two teams meet in Qualifier 1 on December 30, with the winners advancing straight to the final. The losers will face the winners of the Eliminator – played on January 1 between the third and fourth-placed sides – in Qualifier 2 on January 2. The winners of Qualifiers 1 and 2 will contest the final on January 4.

Highest run-getters in ILT20
English batter Alex Hales, representing Desert Vipers, is the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 1,156 runs, including nine fifties and a century. His 164-run stand with Colin Munro against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in season one is the second-highest partnership in the competition, behind the 198-run stand between MI Emirates’ Andre Fletcher and Tom Banton against Desert Vipers in season three.

James Vince, also from England and playing for Gulf Giants, follows with 1,055 runs and a record 10 fifties. MI Emirates’ Nicholas Pooran is close behind with 1,010 runs and seven fifty-plus scores. Pooran also holds the record for the most sixes in the tournament (71), ahead of Hales (58) and Muhammad Waseem (55).
Highest wicket-takers in ILT20
In the bowling department, Afghanistan left-arm seamer Fazalhaq Farooqi of MI Emirates is the only bowler to reach the 50-wicket mark in the competition. His 5 for 16 against Dubai Capitals in season three remains the best bowling figures in tournament history. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga is next with 39 wickets at an economy of 6.38, while Chris Jordan of Gulf Giants sits third with 35 wickets.
