The three-match T20I series between Afghanistan and India will commence on Sunday, September 13, in Delhi. Here’s all you need to know about the series.
Afghanistan are set to host India in India for three T20 Internationals. All the matches of the series will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and will get underway at 7pm local time (2:30pm UK time).

Afghanistan vs India T20Is: Team News
Ibrahim Zadran will begin his tenure as Afghanistan’s T20I captain with the series. Fast-bowler Naveen-ul-Haq returns to the squad for the first time since December 2024. Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is also back for Afghanistan after missing the ODI series against Ireland due to CPL commitments.
Nangeyalia Kharoti is back in the mix for Afghanistan after missing out on T20 World Cup selection, while Noor ul Rehman is the backup wicketkeeper in their squad.
Meanwhile, India have received a big boost with Jasprit Bumrah declared fully fit for the series. Harshit Rana has been ruled out, however, with Yash Thakur replacing him, while Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar have also been cleared to play.
