India and New Zealand are set to face off in three ODIs, starting Sunday (January 11). Here are the ICC men’s ODI rankings ahead of the series.

India and New Zealand will face off for the first time in the 50-over format since the Champions Trophy final in March 2025. India had won that game by four wickets to add to a group-stage win over the Kiwis.

Since the final, New Zealand have won three consecutive ODI series, against Pakistan, England and the West Indies. All three of those wins have been 3-0 clean sweeps. India, meanwhile, lost their first ODI series after the ICC event to Australia, going down 2-1, before defeating South Africa at home.

Overall, the two sides have faced off in 120 ODIs, with the Asian giants winning 62 and the Kiwis winning 50, while eight games have finished in a tie or no result.

As far as the upcoming series is concerned, Vadodara will host the first ODI on January 11, with the next two games scheduled to be played at Rajkot and Indore on January 14 and 18, respectively.
