India and South Africa will face in a two-Test series which will be part of the WTC cycle, before they play three ODIs and five T20Is. The Proteas won the first Test at the Eden Gardens by 30 runs in some style.
The hosts will have to hit back in the first-ever Test match to be held at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, but may have to do so without captain Shubman Gill, who suffered a neck spasm during the first Test. If he does not play, vice-captain Rishabh Pant will step up.
The second match begins on November 22 (Saturday).
