South Africa have announced their ODI and T20I squads for the India tour, with Anrich Nortje making his return to the national side. Find the full squads here.
Anrich Nortje returns after long injury layoff
Nortje is set to play his first game in 16 months after a lengthy layoff, having suffered a stress reaction that was first reported in June. His last competitive appearance was the 2024 T20 World Cup final against India.
He is part of the 16-member squad for the three-match T20I series, which will follow the three ODIs set to begin on November 30. At that point, the timeline for his recovery was unknown.

Aiden Markram returns to lead South Africa in the shortest format, having missed the one-off Namibia T20I and the Pakistan series due to injury. He last played T20Is against England in September, before returning to play Tests in Pakistan, as well as the ongoing two-match series in India.
David Miller returns after nearly a year
Bavuma will lead the ODI squad that recently suffered a 3-0 loss to Pakistan. From that squad, Lhuan-dre Pretorius has not been picked, with Rubin Hermann making his way in to add to his solitary ODI cap. Marco Jansen returns to the ODI setup for the first time since the Champions Trophy.
In the T20I side, David Miller returns as well, having last played the format in December 2024. Ryan Rickelton has been dropped from the T20I squad.
