The BCCI has announced three separate men's squads featuring capped players, for series over the next couple of weeks. Who is playing where?
India A, Irani Cup, West Indies Tests: Who's playing what?
On Thursday (September 25), three squads were confirmed. The India A white-ball squad to play Australia A in three unofficial 'ODIs'; the Rest of India squad to take on Ranji Trophy champions Vidarbha in the Irani Cup; and the India Test squad for the home series against West Indies.

The India A one-day games run from September 30 to October 5, the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5, and the West Indies Tests from October 2 to 14. There is an additional squeeze with the Asia Cup ending on September 28, two days ahead of the India A games: in other words, anyone picked for those games from the squad that is in Dubai may face a tight squeeze in terms of returning to India.
Four players currently with the Asia Cup squad – Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh – have been picked for India A, but only the second and third matches of that series. Apart from them, three capped players in Shreyas Iyer, Riyan Parag and Ravi Bishnoi have been selected for all three A games. Iyer will lead the side as well.

Six capped players have been selected to represent Rest of India; Rajat Patidar (captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Khaleel Ahmed, Akash Deep and Anshul Kamboj. The Vidarbha squad does not contain any capped players, although Harsh Dubey represented India A in England earlier this year.
The only uncapped player in the Test squad is wicketkeeper N Jagadeesan, who was a late injury replacement for Rishabh Pant in the England series as well.
