After a high-scoring ODI series, India and West Indies will lock horns in the five-match T20I series, starting October 6. Here’s how to watch the series live.
India are set to host the West Indies for a five-match T20I series starting Tuesday, October 6, following the high-scoring ODI series. The opener will be played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow before the series moves to Ranchi and Indore for the second and third T20Is, respectively, on October 9 and 11. The tour will conclude with the last two T20Is on October 14 and 17, in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The Shreyas Iyer-led India return to action after winning gold at the Asian Games, where they beat Pakistan in the final. Jasprit Bumrah will be absent, while Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Prince Yadav and Mayank Yadav have been called up after missing the competition.
As for the West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer returns to the squad after missing the ODI leg of the tour. Kamil Pooran, the star of this year’s Caribbean Premier League, has also earned his maiden call-up as the West Indies look to build on their win in the final ODI.
The recent India-West Indies ODI series was an absolute run-fest, with 2,109 runs scored across six innings 🤯 There were also 10 hundreds scored, the most ever in a three-match bilateral series 💯 https://t.co/VIOsfZUHzz
