SRH vs LSG: Shardul and Pooran steal SRH's thunder
SRH were put into bat first by LSG, who started well with the ball thanks to Shardul Thakur's double strike in the third over. Abhishek Sharma (six off six) and Ishan Kishan (golden duck) were removed cheaply. Travis Head continued the attack with a 28-ball 47 and newbie Aniket Verma chipped in with a quick cameo (36 off 13) to take them to 190-9. Thakur finished with figures of 4-34.
In response, Mitchell Marsh (52 off 31) and Nicholas Pooran (70 off 26) killed the chase early, bashing the SRH bowlers to all parts of the ground. The home team staged a mini comeback after getting rid of Pooran in the ninth over, but it was too little too late as LSG won by five wickets with 3.5 overs remaining.
