Rizvi walked out at No.7, ending on 40 not out in 24 balls with four sixes. He stitched together a 65-run stand with Tristan Stubbs, pushing DC towards the 150-run mark. CSK's spinners were the star – Akeal Hosein, who opened the innings, finished with 1-19, while Noor Ahmad got two wickets in three overs.
The run chase began with Sanju Samson scoring 87 not out in 52 balls with six sixes, anchoring the innings after skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad fell early. Urvil Patel and Kartik Sharma supported him well as CSK rode home to a win.
