KKR bowled and fielded brilliantly to restrict DC to 142-8 after Pathum Nissanka (50 in 29 balls) and KL Rahul (23 in 14) put on 49 for the opening stand in only five overs. Among the other batters, only Ashutosh Sharma (39 in 28) put up any resistance against Anukul Roy (2-31), Kartik Tyagi (2-25), and Sunil Narine (4-0-17-1).
