What were the talking points in GT vs RCB, Match 42?
Virat Kohli looked at his vintage best, hitting Kagiso Rabada for five consecutive boundaries, but his stay was short-lived. Devdutt Padikkal hung around for a while, but the rest of the batters couldn’t make any telling impact. Jason Holder’s catch of Rajat Patidar was a controversial decision, dividing opinions. Arshad Khan had a great outing, while Jason Holder and Rashid Khan were highly effective as well.
Shubman Gill gave GT a fiery start and was looking at his very best. But he fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who also got both Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler. Every time GT got ahead of the chase, RCB pulled it back, but the target was not enough in the end.

Who were the top performers in GT vs RCB?
Kohli (28 off 13) and Padikkal (40 off 24) were clearly the best batters for RCB. Arshad returned figures of 3-22 while Holder and Rashid took two each. Gill slammed 43 off 18, while Buttler looked great for his 19-ball 39 too. Bhuvneshwar bowled four on the trot to finish with 3-28. Rahul Tewatia finished the match with a 17-ball 27.
