What were the talking points in KKR vs RR, PBKS vs LSG, IPL 2026 Match 28 & 29?
KKR came into the match with no wins from six games. A filled Eden Gardens with almost equal support for the opposition greeted them. Rajasthan, meanwhile, came into the match on the back of a comprehensive defeat following four straight wins.
Punjab were riding high on confidence, especially after Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer's maginficent efforts in the last match. For Lucknow, the focus was on whether Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan were fit enough to play. Mohsin eventually did, but had minimal positive impact on the game.
Who were the top performers in KKR vs RR, PBKS vs LSG?
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi top-scored for RR, making a comparatively sedate 46 off 28 balls. For KKR, Kartik Tyagi shone with the ball, picking up 3-22 in his four overs. But they would be most pleased with the returns of Varun Chakravarthy, who registered his second-best figures at the Eden Gardens in IPL: 3-14. KKR's successful run-chase was led by Rinku Singh's measured 53* (34) and Anukul Roy's supporting act of 29* (16). Ravindra Jadeja bowled his three overs for just eight runs and picked up two wickets.
The second match of the night was a run-fest. Priyansh Arya missed out on a hundred by not much (93 off 37) and Cooper Connolly came close as well (87 off 46). Prince Yadav went for just 2-25 in his four overs despite the carnage. The LSG batters tried their best in response, but it wasn't enough. Mitchell Marsh (40 off 28), Ayush Badoni (35 off 21), Rishabh Pant (43 off 23), and Aiden Markram (42 off 22) all crossed 35.
