What were the talking points in PBKS vs MI?
MI were without Suryakumar Yadav, who had led them in regular captain Hardik Pandya’s absence. As a result, Jasprit Bumrah captained them for the first time. Prabhsimran Singh hit a 32-ball 57 before Shardul Thakur (4-39) pegged PBKS back. Azmatullah Omarzai (38 in 17), Vishnu Vinod (15* in 8), and Xavier Bartlett (18* in 7) then took the hosts to 200-8.
Ryan Rickelton (48 in 23) began rapidly in response, but the MI innings lost momentum once he fell as Omarzai (2-36) struck twice. Tilak Varma (75* in 33) and Will Jacks (25* in 10) then took the attack to the PBKS camp, sealing the game with one ball and six wickets in hand.
