What were the talking points in SRH vs RCB?
Though both teams had already sealed a playoff berth, a place in the top two was still up for grabs. A top-two finish gives teams two chances of making it to the final and makes up for an off-day after six weeks of consistent performances. Batting first, SRH made another mind-boggling score, registering 255-4, but the target ahead of them was 165 - if they restricted RCB to 165 or lower, they would advance to the top two; if RCB made over 166, RCB would finish in the top two.
Venkatesh Iyer, opening in place of the injured Jacob Bethell, scored a 19-ball 44, as RCB reached 60 in 4.3 overs. However, the innings stuttered towards the end, but they ended on 200-4, ensuring a trip to Dharamshala for the first Qualifier.
Who were the top performers in SRH vs RCB?
The first innings was led, once again, by Abhishek Sharma, who scored 56 in 22 balls. Ishan Kishan continued his fine form, making 79 in 46, while Heinrich Klaasen's fifty helped SRH over the 250-run mark.
RCB's first target was reaching 166, which they did courtesy of an aggressive start by Venkatesh. Rajat Patidar also contributed with a fifty, but the target was too steep in the end.
