Captain Marsh steadied the ship, taking on the majority of the scoring mantle himself. He took 21 runs from Ben Sears' sixth over, hitting two sixes and two fours, and clubbed two back-to-back sixes off Ish Sodhi to reach his half-century from 21 balls. After Australia lost three wickets in as many overs, Marsh regrouped before going again. He targeted Sears once more, hitting three boundaries off him in the 15th over before reaching his century in the 18th off a top-edge. His hundred came off 50 balls and took Australia to their target with two overs to spare.

      The next-highest score in the innings, after Marsh's 103 off 52 was Mitchell Owen's 10-ball 14.

That innings made Marsh the fifth male Australia player to score centuries in all three international formats. Marsh has three Test centuries to his name, the first of those coming in 2017. He scored his maiden ODI hundred in 2016, and his most recent just over a month ago against South Africa.

"="" type="si-cricketscorecard-masthead">" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shane Watson was the first Australia player to achieve the feat, while David Warner has the most number of centuries of anyone on the list. Warner is only second to Ricky Ponting for hundreds scored for Australia across formats.
