Mitchell Santner and Harry Brook ahead of the NZ v ENG T20I series

New Zealand and England will begin a T20I series this Saturday (October 18), in one of the last opportunities for both sides to fine-tune their sides' ahead of the T20 World Cup. Here's what the two squads look like.

New Zealand vs England T20Is: Who's in, who's out?

England will be without several of their all-format players for the T20I leg of the tour, as they look to manage workloads ahead of the Ashes. Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith and Jofra Archer are all unavailable, while Saqib Mahmood will miss the series after undergoing minor knee surgery. The absences in the batting lineup mean England have given Zak Crawley his maiden T20I call-up, while Sam Curran, Jordan Cox and Sonny Baker have been retained from their last outings against Ireland. England have already named their XI for the first match, with Cox slated to bat down at No.7.

New Zealand are also missing key players, with Kane Williamson to miss the series. Williamson has a casual contract with New Zealand Cricket, and is set to return for the following ODI series. Fast-bowler Ben Sears will also be absent, having picked up a hamstring injury in training, while Rachin Ravindra is set to return to the side after recovering from a facial injury sustain in a T20I against Australia. Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips and Lockie Ferguson are also all unavailable due to injury.
