Durham's One Day Cup fixture against Glamorgan at Gosforth tomorrow (July 29) has been sold out, with thousands of fans set to pack the ground as Ben Stokes makes his third consecutive appearance for the club.

A statement released by Durham earlier today told members that a limited number of tickets remained, but that they must be booked in advance of the match. Yorkshire released a similar statement, which said "exceptionally strong demand" meant that tickets for their fixture against Durham at York would no longer be available on the gate, and urged fans to arrive early to "ensure smooth a timely entry into the ground".

The fixture continues a string of One Day Cup games being sold out, after Lancashire's match against Kent at Farington also reached capacity.

Gosforth is one of two outgrounds used by Durham, and has a capacity of around 5,000. A 2,000 seat stand will be in action at the fixture, while fans not in the stands are encouraged to sit on the grass around the playing field.

Part of the attraction for fans will be the prospect of seeing Stokes, who hit 108* on his return to action for the club last week, and followed up with an unbeaten 73 against Sussex in his next outing. Stokes did not enter The Hundred auction earlier this year, before his international retirement announcement last month.

While crowds for The Hundred have been down on last year's numbers in the early stage of the competition, numbers have begun to pick back up as the competition continues.
