After winning the T20I series against Sri Lanka 2-1, Pakistan will host an ODI tri-series, also including England, from October 18. Here's all you need to know about the series.
The Pakistan ODI tri-series, featuring England and Sri Lanka, gets underway on October 18 in Rawalpindi, with the final scheduled for October 31 in Lahore. All three teams will play each other twice in the league stage before the top-two sides lock horns in the final.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to lead Pakistan, and will have Babar Azam by his side. Mohammad Rizwan, however, was left out due to an ongoing probe against him by Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency.
Sri Lanka have recalled Avishka Fernando, who has not played an ODI since February 2025. Sahan Arachchige is a part of this tour as a replacement for the injured Wanindu Hasaranga.
England will be without their star batter Jos Buttler, who underwent a surgery for hamstring injury, as well as Jacob Bethell due to a knee injury. Sam Curran returns to the side after missing the Sri Lanka series with a groin injury while Sonny Baker and James Comes are also included.
