Updated WTC points table after PAK vs SA

Pakistan defeated South Africa by 93 runs in the first Test in Lahore: here's what the World Test Championship points table looks like after the first PAK vs SA Test match.

Noman Ali headlines Pakistan's dominance

After electing to bat first in their first match of the WTC cycle, Pakistan posted 378 on the board courtesy of 93s from Imam-ul-Haq and Salman Agha and a couple of 70-plus scores from Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan. Senuran Muthusamy equalled Shane Warne with his six-wicket haul in the first innings for South Africa.

The visitor's response was led by a brilliant hundred by No.4 Tony de Zorzi. He was supported by Ryan Rickelton's 71 as South Africa managed to get up to 269, but they still fell 109 short of Pakistan's total.

Another five-for by Muthusamy restricted Pakistan to 167 in the second innings, setting up a potentially achievable target of 277 for the tourists. But Noman Ali ran through the opposition top order like he's made a habit of doing in the last one year.

Shaheen Shah Afridi also chipped in at the end, cleaning up the tail and finishing with 4-33 as Pakistan won by 93 runs.
