Just two days after recording their lowest PSL score, Multan Sultans were once again bowled out for a sub-120 score on Thursday (May 1).
Already facing an uphill battle to keep their season alive, Multan took on Karachi Kings in the first match of a PSL double-header. Karachi skipper David Warner chose to bat first, and got his side off to a flying start with 30 (13). James Vince then anchored the innings with a brisk 65 off 45 balls, before Khushdil Shah's unbeaten 33 off 13 balls lifted them to 204-4.

Multan's chase was dealt a blow when Mohammad Rizwan departed in the second over. Usman Khan and Yasir Khan then followed him back to the dressing room within the Powerplay. Curtis Campher and Iftikhar Ahmed were also removed just past the halfway mark, leaving Multan 76-5 in 10.2 overs.
The following over, Michael Bracewell was bowled and David Willey run out off consecutive balls, completely derailing the chase. They soon slipped to 90-9, before last wicket pair Chris Jordan and Ubaid Shah took them to 117, for an 87-run loss.
Multan suffer second batting collapse in three days
Just two days ago, the Sultans were bowled out for 89 as Rizwan became the ninth man to carry his bat in T20 cricket. That was the lowest-ever score for which they had been bowled out, and their total today is their seventh lowest of all time.
MS remain bottom of the PSL 2025 points table, with just one win in eight matches – this loss confirming their elimination from playoff contention. Prior to this season, they had contested four finals in a row, lifting the trophy in 2021.
