The leading run-scorer for every season of the PSL is awarded the Green Cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award, named after Pakistan’s first great batter.

From the 2017 edition, the leading run-scorer of every season of the Pakistan Super League is awarded the Green Cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award.

The previous winners are Kamran Akmal (2017), Luke Ronchi (2018), Shane Watson (2019), Babar Azam (2020, 2021, and 2024), Fakhar Zaman (2022), and Mohammad Rizwan (2023). Fakhar’s 2022 record of 588 runs remains a season record for the league.
