Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans in the latest Pakistan Super League match. Here is the updated PSL 2025 points table, along with net run rate.
Peshawar Zalmi picked up two points with an easy win against the Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium to stay in the hunt for a spot in the PSL 2025 playoffs.
MS were bowled out for 108 after Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to bat. At 60-2 in the ninth over, they seemed to be set for a total closer to 150, but Luke Wood (2-18), Ahmed Daniyal (3-17), and Maaz Sadaqat (2-12) turned out to be more than a handful. For the hosts, Tayyab Tahir made 22 in 18 balls, while Shai Hope got a 21-ball 23.
Saim Ayub led PZ’s response with a 33-ball 49. So belligerent was Ayub that PZ captain Babar Azam made only a 13-ball eight in a second-wicket stand of 49. Max Bryant (38 not out in 20 balls) then saw PZ home with seven wickets and seven overs in hand.

PZ are still fifth, but they are only a point behind Lahore Qalandars, whom they play on May 9 at Rawalpindi. PZ also play the Karachi Kings before that, but LQ is the team they have to beat. MS have already been eliminated.
