Pakistan white-ball all-rounder Khushdil Shah registered his highest score across formats on day two of the 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy round six.

Khushdil Shah hits maiden double hundred

At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi, FATA posted a mammoth 687 for 7 declared against Abbottabad. The innings was headlined by Khushdil Shah’s 257-ball 206, studded with 24 fours and three sixes. Coming in at 214 for 2, he stitched together a 204-run stand with Salman Khan, who made a 159-ball 133. Opener Muhammad Farooq was the other centurion, striking a brisk 76-ball 105 with 12 fours and six sixes.

Three more batters from FATA’s top seven – Mohammad Usman (87), Mohammad Sarwar (57), and Rehan Afridi (50*) – also registered fifties. The innings stretched for 142.3 overs, spilling into the second day. Abbottabad’s Khalid Usman conceded the most runs, finishing with figures of 1 for 171. However, discarded Pakistan batter and Abbottabad leader Kamran Ghulam surprisingly had a decent outing with 3-43, but only bowled 10 overs.

      What's Khushdil's international record for Pakistan?

      Khushdil made his comeback to the Pakistan side earlier this year, just ahead of the Champions Trophy. The recall followed a strong Bangladesh Premier League season, where he scored 298 runs at an average of 59.60 and a strike rate of 175.29, in addition to taking 17 wickets at an average of 9.94 while conceding 6.03 runs an over. His most recent international appearance came in September, in the Asia Cup.

      So far, he has played 38 T20Is, scoring 434 runs at an average of 17.36 and a strike rate of 104.07, along with six wickets at 21.33 and an economy rate of 7.11. In 15 ODIs, he has made 328 runs at an average of 32.80 and a strike rate of 98.20, besides taking four wickets at 83.00 and an economy rate of 6.09.
