Faham-ul-Haq, son of former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, scored his first professional century on Friday (October 31).
Faham ul Haq continues stellar first-class form
The latest round of the 2025/26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy began yesterday (October 30). At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, Peshawar were put in to bat by Faisalabad. After they slipped to 29-4 following Khurram Shahzad and Jahandad Khan 's opening burst, the innings was resurrected by Pakistan-capped batters Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Haris.
Iftikhar made 131, and Haris 88 as the pair put on 199 for the fifth wicket. No.8 Niaz Khan then hit 34 to stretch the first-innings total to 320.

Faisalabad openers Hasan Raza and Faham-ul-Haq put on 66 for the first wicket before the former was caught for 40 off the bowling of Mohammad Amir Khan. The 19-year-old Faham held the innings together even as his teammates came and went.
He took over 120 balls to reach a half-century, his third in first-class cricket, before accelerating a touch to get to the three-figure mark in the 81st over of the innings, off the 222nd delivery he faced. This was Faham's first first-class century, and he made it to 137 not out by stumps. Faisalabad currently trail by 11 runs, with three wickets in hand.
These slow, grinding, knocks have already become a trademark for Faham; his maiden half-century was a knock of 51 off 174 balls, against Sialkot earlier this month. The following match, he made a quicker 78 off 151 balls against Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
The penchant for batting long appears to run in the family – Faham is the son of former Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq, whose strike rate of 44.53 in Test cricket is the sixth-lowest this century for anyone with over 5,000. Of course, Misbah could accelerate when he wanted to as well; he still holds the world record for the fastest fifty in Test cricket.
Faham has played two List A matches so far, scoring 31 runs at a strike rate of 44.92.
