The SA20 2025/26 final will be played between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals on Sunday (January 26) at Newlands. Here’s where to watch live action from the match.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape have made their fourth SA20 final in four seasons, while the Pretoria Capitals will be playing in their second since the tournament’s inception in 2023. The Sunrisers won the first two editions, and lost the previous final to MI Cape Town. PC, meanwhile, lost their only final, which came against their upcoming opponents.
Notably, the two finalists had also finished in the top two of the league standings, with Pretoria winning Qualifier 1 to directly qualify for the final. Sunrisers then beat Paarl Royals in Qualifier 2 to book their spot in the decider and make it four finals in four seasons.
SEC opener Quinton de Kock is the top-scorer of the season so far with 372 runs, while the Capitals’ Sherfane Rutherford is third on the list with 317 runs. The Sunrisers’ Anrich Nortje, meanwhile, is second on the list of wicket-takers with 17 wickets, three short of top-placed Ottneil Baartman.
As for their recent matches, Sunrisers won both league games in the ongoing SA20 season, but the Capitals came out on top in the qualifier.
