The player auctions for the 2026 SA20 concluded on Tuesday, and here are the updated squads of all six sides.
The highlights
The biggest talking point was the bidding war to procure the services of Dewald Brevis, who Pretoria Capitals eventually snapped up for R16.5 million (approximately USD 940,000). Aiden Markram was also much-sought-after, with the Durban Giants securing him for R14 million. He also became the first player to fetch beyond R10 million in the SA20 auctions, before Brevis broke all records.
Several marquee players went unsold as well: Imran Tahir, South Africa Test and ODI skipper Temba Bavuma, James Anderson, Tabraiz Shamsi, Jason Roy and Shakib Al Hasan all failed to attract any bidders.
Ahead of the auction, the six teams had 84 slots to fill, and here’s how the squads line up ahead of the tournament that begins on December 26 this year.
