Having secured a 40-run lead in the first Test of the 2025/26 Ashes, at Perth, England were placed comfortably at 65-1 in the second innings. Then they collapsed to 164, and Travis Head bludgeoned his way to an 83-ball 123 as Australia chased 205 in a mere 28.2 overs to win inside two days.
The two teams will now meet in the day-night Test at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 4. The injured Usman Khawaja will miss the Test for Australia, while England have brought in Will Jacks for Mark Wood.
The game will start at 2pm local time (9:30am IST, 4am GMT).
