Mitchell Marsh and Ryan Rickelton gathered 89 runs off 51 balls for the opening partnership, after which Harry Brook scored 23 off 11. London Spirit had a shaky start as well, as Jonny Bairstow was sent back on his third delivery after hitting a four and six off the first two. Liam Livingstone scored a 30-ball 66 and coupled with Dewald Brevis’ unbeaten 31-ball 55, took them over the line with seven wickets to spare.

After Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Bairstow were both sent back for scores of 16 and 10, Livingstone and Brevis got together for a 103-run stand to take Spirit past the finishing line with 18 balls, and seven wickets to spare. None of the bowlers from either side could scalp more than a solitary wicket.
