After opting to bat, the Brave lost both their openers, Maia Bouchier and Lizelle Lee, with just nine runs on the board. Laura Wolvaardt and Jemimah Rodrigues then rebuilt the innings with a 49-run partnership. But the Brave kept losing wickets and could only post 121 runs.
The chase wasn’t straightforward either for the Fire. They found themselves reeling at 49-4 before Heather Graham, along with Georgia Wareham, Grace Thompson and Niamh Holland, took the team over the line on the last ball of the match, with four wickets in hand.

Laura Wolvaardt was the top-scorer for the Brave with a 48-run knock off 45 deliveries. Tilly Corteen-Coleman was brilliant with the ball for the Fire in the defence of 121 runs, picking up the first three wickets to fall and conceding only 27 runs in her spell.
For the Fire, Grace Potts was exceptional with the new ball. She bowled 13 dot balls and went for only 14 runs while picking up two wickets. Heather Graham was at her best as she picked up two wickets for 23 runs before playing a match-winning knock of 35* off 28 balls to take Welsh Fire over the line in a thriller.
