Mitchell Starc (R) of Australia appeals for leg before wicket (LBW) against Roston Chase (L) of West Indies during the 4th day of the 2nd Test match between West Indies and Australia at Grenada National Cricket Stadium, Saint George's, Grenada, on July 6, 2025

Australia thrashed the West Indies at Grenada to go 2-0 up in the three-match Test series. Here's what the 2025-27 World Test Championship table looks like after the second West Indies-Australia Test.

Australia struggled early after batting first, losing half their side for just 110 runs. However, Alex Carey (63) and Beau Webster (60) staged a recovery, guiding them to a competitive total of 286. Australia then fought back by dismissing West Indies for 253, securing a crucial first-innings lead.

In the second innings, Sam Konstas (0) and Usman Khawaja (2) fell cheaply, adding to their recent struggles. Under pressure, Cameron Green regained form with a gritty 123-ball 52 – his first fifty since returning from injury. Steve Smith’s solid 71 from No. 5 helped Australia post 243 before being all out. The 33-run lead proved vital. Given how the match had unfolded, with bowlers dominating batters consistently, chasing 277 would not have been easy. That proved true as West Indies were skittled out for 143, losing the game by 133 runs.

Australia took an unassailable 2-0 lead heading into the third and final Test.
